Sidney Lanier: Florida: Its Scenery, Climate and History

Sidney Lanier, was born in Macon, Georgia on February 3, 1842, and died on September 7, 1881 in Lynn, N.C. He was a poet and musician, and one of the most famous literary figures in the South, even though he is not usually considered one of our Florida authors.
